Rijkswaterstaat
The ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management in the Netherlands (in Dutch Rijkswaterstaat) is responsible for the practical execution of the public works and water management, including the construction and maintenance of waterways and roads, and flood protection and prevention. I was selected and awarded a project as a freelancer to design and implement a software package for the inspection and monitoring of the Dutch infrastructure using InSAR measurements for and at Rijkswaterstaat. The core of the software package relied on the commercial GAMMA Remote Sensing software package. With InSAR measurements, it is possible to detect displacements of hard objects down to the milimeter level. It is therefore an excellent tool for large scale deformation monitoring. Furthermore, I took on an advisory role and shared industry practices.
